Important Information on Fraudulent Emails to Practitioners

The Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance, is advising Florida health care practitioners of a fraudulent email and phishing attempt targeting Florida nurses.

Scammers are impersonating the Department and claiming to provide licensees with important information regarding required background screenings for licensure renewal.

Official communications from the Department will originate from the @flhealthsource.gov domain. Licensees can identify fraudulent emails by noting that the sender’s domain differs from @flhealthsource.gov. If you receive a suspicious email, do not click on any links.

If you have received a fraudulent email, please report the incident to the Attorney General’s Office at Fraud-Report.MQA.FLHealthSource.gov/.
