NCSBN’s International Nurse Regulator Collaborative Symposium

Joe Baker, Jr., executive director, and Janet Doke, nursing education consultant, are attending the National Council of State Board of Nursing’s International Nurse Regulator Collaborative Symposium in Chicago this week.  The conference theme is:  Regulation of Nursing – Challenging our Thinking.

Attendees from NCSBN member boards will interact with speakers from Scotland, New Zealand, Canada & the U.S. on topics such as Right Touch Regulation, The Aging Healthcare Practitioner, The Role of the Nurse Regulator with the Aging Nurse, Regulatory Performance and Structure Driven by Data, and the Impact of Social Media on Discipline Cases:  Lessons Learned.  Moderated sessions will also address the assessment of initial and ongoing competence of nurses.
